DAI is an employee-owned global development company operating in some 60 countries. For 40 years, we have worked on the frontlines of international development, tackling fundamental social and economic development problems caused by inefficient markets, governance challenges, and instability. Our integrated development solutions turn ideas into impact by bringing together fresh combinations of expertise and innovation across multiple disciplines, including water and natural resources management, energy, and climate change mitigation and adaptation. Our clients include international development agencies, international lending institutions, private corporations and philanthropies, and national governments.

DAI is preparing a proposal for SOROT, an anticipated USAID project to be based in Jakarta. By working through national, or perhaps better “nationwide,” instruments and systems, SOROT will address the constellation of market forces, financial incentives, policy levers, social norms and values driving deforestation and biodiversity loss in order to promote enduring changes in individual and organizational behavior which reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and conserve valuable marine and terrestrial biodiversity.
