Barata Indonesia Persero (Barata) is one of the leading state-owned enterprise in Indonesia. Companies engaged in the field of doing business in the field of Engineering Procurement & Construction, Manufacturing, and Foundry. The company is a non-listed state-owned company and is wholly owned by the Indonesian government.
Barata Indonesia Persero was founded in 1971 as a state-owned company, which Barata PN, PN and PN Peprida Sabang Merauke. The establishment of this company aims: Supporting the independence and progress of the National Industry, providing quality products and services to the subscriber, in order to create excellent value, generating profits for shareholders and creating well-being, improved quality and employee satisfaction.
Barata Indonesia Persero today as Director is Zakky Gamal Yasin. The Company is now supported by six sub business unit (SBU), consisting of the SBU Gresik, Tegal SBU, SBU Cilegon, Bandung and Sukabumi SBU, SBU Medan, and Makassar SBU. In the Annual Report, which in terms of financial performance, Barata Indonesia posted an increase of 31.14% from the revenue of Rp 675.5 billion in 2011 to Rp 885.9 billion in 2012. Total net profit of Rp 33.5 billion in 2012, which represents an increase from 122.66% to the total net income recorded in 2011 amounted to Rp 15 billion.
